Blackberry Torch 9800 and Customized Color from Colorware (VIDEO)

Blackberry Torch 9800 was a seeming flop for RIMM, as it failed to woo consumers.  Blame it on the endless array of Androidphones, such as the Samsung Galaxy S line or the Apple iPhone.  However, the Blackberry Torch 9800 is unique in its own right, and die hard “Crackberry” fans appreciate the foray into a more modern feel.

What was not as hot as some of the Android handsets looks a little spiffier, thanks to Colorware.  This of course makes the Blackberry Torch 9800 more of a fashion phone – and that could help the handset become more attractive to some customers.

RIM is known for their quality.  Many people upgrade their Blackberry handsets not because their old ones fail to work, but because it’s been a couple of years and they want something new.

A year or two ago, it was the iPhone and the Blackberry that went head to head.  Now that Android is in the mix, it’s going to be interesting to see what happens.

For now, Blackberry remains the choice for business phones due to their security features. However, as Apple and Android advance, RIM shouldn’t get too comfy at the top.
