Verizon iPhone 4. It’s coming soon…or is it? I remember back in March, right before the end of the first quarter the WSJ said that the Verizon iPhone 4 would be here before we knew it.  That was months ago, and yet the rumors won’t stop.  Reporters all over are tired of the iPhone from Verizon story and wish for once and for all that the device would be announced and released.

So before I go on with the latest Verizon iPhone 4 rumor know that none of this has been confirmed by Apple or Verizon. However, “sources” have told the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times that the new Verizon iPhone will be out by early next year.

The reason that the Verizon iPhone 4 stories now make more sense is because the LTE network at Big Red will be coming out soon in 38 cities in the US.  Apple could have the first phone for that network, although users should be cautioned that the new network won’t be perfect from the get-go.

In addition, customers have been overwhelmingly BEGGING Apple to release the handset on another network.

AT&T also courts other handset makers from Android Smartphones to the new Windows 7 phone.  If AT&T gets the opportunity to have other handsets, then Apple should have the opportunity to have other networks.

I wish I could give you a Verizon iPhone release date, but I can’t but from what I hear, it will be ‘soon.’
