ADAN News is an original news source covering the state of Tennessee. The owner, editors, and contributors have studied journalism at the University of Memphis, University of Mississippi, and the University of Tennessee.

PROFESSIONAL STAFF EDITORS

Samantha Ryan, Chief Editor – Samantha studied journalism at the University of Memphis where she excelled and graduated summa cum laude. She enjoys the written word and delivering ethical, original news.
Josh Rodriguez, Assistant Editor – Joshua grew up in Puerto Rico and relocated to the Mid-South when he was 10, as his stepfather is a pilot for FedEx. He studied journalism first at Northwest Mississippi Community College and transferred to Ole Miss. He relocated to Memphis to take on the role as assistant editor for ADAN News
CONTRIBUTORS
Kenisha Mills – Kenisha graduated with a degree in Political Science from Arkansas State University. She relocated to Memphis where she worked at a local news agency as an assistant to an editor. She found that she has a love for journalism, and is hours from finishing a Master’s degree in Journalism at the University of Memphis.
Lynette Richardson – Lynette got her degree in journalism from Vanderbilt and lives in Nashville with her husband and their ranch of rescue Weenie dogs. She’s been a journalist for over 30 years, and loves delivering unique news stories.
Larry Baumgardner - Larry served our country well in Afghanistan. Not only is he a military vet, he’s a seasoned journalist with a degree from the University of Phoenix, where he completed studies online while living on a military base. Before ADAN News, Larry was the editor for several military newsletters.
Jeff Wong – Jeff Wong received a degree in Journalism from David Lipscomb University in Nashville. He’s fresh out of college, and is anxious to deliver many new original Tennessee news stories.
Ryan Davidson loves the rich, musical history of Memphis. He received a degree in history from the University of Memphis, and went back and received a second degree in journalism when he realized he’d rather write news stories than teach high school history.

Tyrese Mills is a sports reporter who has covered the sports beat since he was the editor at his high school newspaper. He works closely with Josh Rodriguez to cover lots of Mid-South sports stories.

ADAN News will not accept any submissions that are plagiarized, misleading, or that contain general negative stereotypes about individuals or groups of individuals. ADAN encourages differing opinions and viewpoints, and therefore no submission will be rejected based solely because an editor doesn’t agree with a viewpoint.
Photos used on our site come from publicly indexed sources. If you find one that was not given a proper credit please email us and we will fix the issue ASAP.
Unless otherwise noted, photos come from Morguefile.com which is a free source for royalty free photos.

Comment Policy
At ADAN, we believe in first amendment rights. This is why our commenting forum is open and doesn’t require registration with our site. However, there are some instances where your comments will be deleted or won’t show up on our site at all.
We use a wordpress plugin that scans for SPAM comments. Sometimes, it misinterprets a valid comment as spam. However, if your comment includes excessive URLs, email addresses, personal information, or certain other features it will not appear on the site.
In addition, comments which use profanity will be deleted. This is because some people find it very offensive, and also children have access to the internet. We find that you can express your ideas without the use of profanity – so please try to do so. Habitual offensive commenters will be blocked from the ability to add comments to the site.
Comments which threaten or harass other site users will also be deleted, as will comments which give out the contact information of other individuals without their permission.
