The European Union recently approved sweeping new sanctions against Russia, including bans on imports of coal, timber, chemicals, and other zinc oxide.

What is Nano Zinc Oxide?
Zinc oxide nanoparticle is a new type of multi-functional inorganic material, and its particle size is between 1 and 100 nm.
Due to the refinement of grains, the surface electronic structure and crystal structure change, resulting in surface effect, volume effect, quantum size effect, macroscopic tunneling effect, high transparency, high dispersion and so on.

In recent years, nano zinc oxide has been found that it shows many special functions in catalysis, optics, magnetism, and mechanics, which makes it have important application value in many fields, such as ceramics, chemical industry, electronics, optics, biology, and medicine. It has the particularity and use that ordinary zinc oxide cannot compare. Nano zinc oxide can be used as UV masking material, antibacterial agent, fluorescent material, photocatalytic material and so on in textile, coating and other fields.

How is Nano Zinc Oxide produced?
The preparation methods of zinc oxide include: direct method (also known as American method), indirect method (also known as French method) and wet chemical method. At present, most of the zinc oxide products sold in the market are direct or indirect products with micron particle size and small specific surface area. These properties greatly restrict their application fields and their performance in products.
Nano zinc oxide is prepared by wet chemical method (NPP-method). Various zinc-containing materials can be used as raw materials, zinc can be leached by acid, the impurities in the raw materials can be removed many times, and then basic zinc carbonate can be obtained by precipitation, and nanometer zinc oxide can be obtained by roasting.

What is the difference between Nano and Non Nano Zinc Oxide?
The outstanding feature of zinc oxide nanoparticles is that the product particles are nanometer, and it has the dual characteristics of nanomaterials and traditional zinc oxide. Compared with traditional zinc oxide, it has large specific surface area, high chemical activity, product fineness, chemical purity and particle shape can be adjusted as needed, and has photochemical effect and better UV shielding performance. its UV shielding rate is as high as 98%; at the same time, it also has a series of unique properties, such as antibacterial, anti-bacterial, anti-mildew, etc.

What is Nano Zinc Oxide used for?
In addition to being widely used in traditional industries such as chemical industry, rubber, paint, ceramics, electronics, textile and medicine and health, nanometer zinc oxide has also been used in ultraviolet shielding, photocatalysis, electrical conductivity and so on. With the in-depth study of nanocrystallization and functionalization of materials, its application field will be further expanded.

Cosmetics
Nanometer zinc oxide is used in sunscreen of cosmetics because it is non-toxic, tasteless, non-irritating to the skin, does not decompose, does not deteriorate, has good thermal stability, is white itself, and can also be colored. It has the functions of anti-inflammation, protection, anti-wrinkle and prevention of UV damage to the skin.

Photocatalyst
Nanometer zinc oxide has large specific surface area and many surface active centers, and its surface effect and volume effect make it have high catalytic activity and selectivity. Nanometer zinc oxide can be used as photocatalyst to decompose pesticides, pigments, trichloromethane, carbon tetrachloride, trichloroethylene and organic compounds in the atmosphere, and finally oxidize to non-polluting substances such as CO2 and H2O. In addition, nanometer zinc oxide has been used in stealth technology-radar wave absorbing materials because of its light weight, thin thickness and strong absorbing capacity. As inorganic active agent and vulcanization accelerator, nanometer zinc oxide can be added to rubber to improve the finish and wear resistance of rubber products, so it can also be used in rubber industry.

Medicine
Nanometer zinc oxide has strong inhibition or killing effect on Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella and other pathogenic bacteria, and nanometer zinc oxide, as a new type of zinc source, has selective toxicity and good biocompatibility at the same time. It also has the characteristics of high biological activity, good immunomodulatory ability and high absorption rate, so it has been paid more and more attention by relevant researchers.

Textile industry
It has good UV shielding and excellent antibacterial and bacteriostatic properties. when added to the fabric, it can give the fabric the functions of sun protection, antibacterial, deodorization and so on.

Feed
As a kind of nanometer material, nanometer zinc oxide has the characteristics of high biological activity, high absorptivity, strong antioxidant capacity, safety and stability, so it is the most ideal zinc source at present. Replacing high zinc with nanometer zinc oxide in feed can not only solve the demand for zinc in animals, but also reduce the pollution to the environment. The use of nanometer zinc oxide can play the role of antibacterial and bacteriostatic, and improve animal production performance at the same time.

Where is the best place for humans to live in outer space? So far, the moon is more habitable in outer space, and it is likely to be turned into a planet. However, whether humans can live on the moon for a long time, these questions have always been lingering in everyone's minds, always There is no way to get an answer. According to the report, a team from the University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in Beijing, after nearly 370 days of closed life, finally simulated the life experiment on the moon, and finally knew what the final truth was. Live here for a long time.

All aspects of human beings are constantly improving, and the demand for zinc oxide is also increasing. If you are engaged in the zinc oxide industry, you just happen to contact us.
